“Doctor Marc” earned his Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition from Texas A&M University and went on to earn his DDS from the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX. From there, he completed his residency at the LSU School of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in New Orleans. Although he loves his home state of Texas and its people, he loves our areas and is now creating confident smiles for our patients here in Slidell and Gulfport.
Board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and an American Association of Orthodontists member, Dr. Marc doesn’t just “treat” patients with the unmatched skill of a professional and artist. He also truly, deeply cares for all his patients, living out Teddy Roosevelt’s famous philosophy of “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”
When he’s not making a positive and lasting impact on our patients’ lives, you can find him enjoying our unique city’s food and coffee scene. He might also be down for a pickup basketball game — or you can try to challenge him to a dance-off. Just be warned: he’s a member of the legendary 610 Stompers, so you better be ready with more than your “floss.”
Lizz and dr Marc are very nice people and the nurses that’s in there as well they are very patient and understandable wanna get braces or whatever you want I’ll advise yall to see them
After two and a half years with Smile Doctors, we made it to the finish line! We started off with a palate expander for a year, followed by an abscess causing a tooth needing to be pulled and the expander taken out. Then, once braces were put on, bracket after bracket needed to be replaced thanks to a 9-11 year old who chewed on things she shouldn’t have. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Marc and his staff were nothing short of kind, friendly, patient, understanding and made us feel like family. I am thankful for the outcome after all this time and am glad to be a part of the Smile Doctor family! Cheers to being braces free and having the space for adult teeth to actually grow and come in!
Liz and Dr. Fruithandler have been phenomenal. During my first visit of my consult they gave me different options on how I wanted to proceed and were very helpful at understanding my smile journey and what to expect. I just finished my second appointment and again they were there to answer any questions and concerns I had. I was able to get my top braces on today and the two ladies who put them on explained the process and made sure everything was okay. She explained everything thoroughly in detail about taking care of the braces and manuevering around the braces to floss. I appreciate that she took the time to do all of that and welcomed me to the amenities they had. Overall everyone is kind and very professional 🙂
The staff was nice. I went for a consult walked out with braces. Dr. Marc and his is very thorough and I’m excited for this journey.
Dr. Marc and his team are Amazing . They make every visit feel so personal and genuinely care about their patients. Everyone is always so kind and welcoming. My daughter and I always leave feeling well cared for, and I highly recommend them⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
